Supply Chain Issue

Like most industries, the heating and cooling industry has been seriously impacted by COVID-19, and policies enforced by both government and private businesses.  These policies, while enacted to protect our health, have created issues in our supply chain as well as prolonged labor shortages. Lockdowns continuing in China exacerbate our supply shortages. These shortages have driven up prices and provided serious challenges for those needing new air conditioners or parts this summer. 

Due to shortages in new HVAC units, there is an increase in the demand for repairs, with many opting to repair equipment that normally would be replaced. This has caused a further shortage of parts, which can result in a delay of days or even weeks to make the repair.  If you are waiting for a new unit or parts to repair your existing unit, your home will be very hot and uncomfortable.

Regular and proper maintenance of your HVAC unit will help to prevent unnecessary breakdowns and will prolong the life of your unit.   When servicing a unit, technicians will make minor repairs that will prevent catastrophic failures to your equipment and will help the unit run more efficiently.  In addition, most licensed HVAC contractors keep a supply of parts needed to service the unit properly.  While there is no guarantee that your unit will work perfectly throughout the summer, proper maintenance will help avoid breakdowns and will ensure that your HVAC equipment will last longer.
